Dennis ‘Denny’ Keith Bolyard, 61, of Grafton, West Virginia, entered through the Golden Gates of Heaven to spend eternity with our Lord & Savior on February 26, 2024.
Denny was born December 26, 1962, in Grafton and was the proud son of Edith Gordon Jurick and stepson of William ‘Bill’ Jurick, who Denny had a lot of respect for, as they shared the love for his mom and he was the proud son of the late Dennie Ivan Bolyard, which he missed dearly and the stepson of the late Mary Ann Bolyard.
Denny was cared for and loved by his ex-wife and caretaker, Donna Moore; a daughter, Jatanna (Ryan) Couch, of Ohio; a stepdaughter, Jodi Newlon (Dallas) Sine-Freeman, of Morgantown; he had one sister, Sheryl Yvonne ‘Sheri’ Handley, of Fairmont, WV; four nieces, Roxanne ‘Roxy’, Cecilia ‘CeCe’ Handley & finance, Jonathan Leep and Mia Rose Handley, of Fairmont and Krista Bolyard, of Fairmont; two nephews, Zachary (Venus) Bolyard and Dylan Handley, of Fairmont; two-great-nieces, Eloise ‘Ellie’ Handley and Zella Bolyard; two-great-nephews, Kyan Bolyard & Banks Handley; two-step-grandsons, Judah Sine & Morgan Freeman; One sister-in-law, Rebecca (Donnie) Sands, of Grafton.
Denny was preceded in death by a daughter he lost at birth, Elizabeth Bolyard; his father, Dennie Ivan Bolyard, his beloved brother, who he was very proud of, Randall Wade Bolyard; several aunts and uncles and his beloved dog, Trooper.
Denny graduated with the Grafton High School Class of 1980. He always enjoyed his class reunions & connecting with his classmates.
He was proud to be a Marine. Anywhere he went, he always thanked a veteran for their service. One of Denny’s biggest passions in life, along with the love for his family, was his relationship with Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Everywhere he went, the subject of our Lord & the Bible came up. He knew his scriptures well and always passed them on. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and also loved riding horses and being with friends. Denny enjoyed being outside in nature, walking all the trails with Donna, Jodi and Trooper at the Tygart Lake State Park. He often accompanied his mom at Jewel City Church, Meadowbrook, WV.
The family would like to thank his AA group, where he found several friends, the EMS and the Grafton Police Department, for their prompt arrival and their compassion with talking to the family and to anyone else who helped Denny throughout the years after his motorcycle accident. He made many friends, too many to individually mention. Denny will be sorely missed and always remembered.
A Private Service will be held to honor Denny’s life with Pastor Robert Shingleton
officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Taylor County Honor Guard and the US Marine Corp.
