Wanetta L Perks

Wanetta L. Perks, 84 of Webster passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Pleasant Creek, WV, October 27, 1931, daughter of the late Wilbern "Mig" and Mabel Kerns Mitchell. Her husband Eldon E. Perks preceded her death November 7, 2013. Wanetta was a charter member of the Pleasant Creek United Methodist Church. Loved being with her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She graduated from Grafton High School Class 1949. She is survived by five children, Debra Keeler and husband John, of Culpepper, VA, Janet Swisher, Gary Perks and wife Sheryl, Scott Perks and wife Paula, Bruce Perks and wife Krista, all of Grafton; thirteen grandchildren, Johnanna Keeler, Michele King, Johnny Keeler, Jr. Sara Hinsley, Jason Swisher, Joshua Swisher, Gayle Perks, Andrew Perks, Chris Perks, Haley Perks, Brayden Perks, Alexis Perks, Brooklyn Perks; fifteen great grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Poling, Dorian Murphy, Clara Baurichter, Ruth Phillips and husband Bob, and a sister-in-law Suzy Mitchell and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Wanetta was preceded in death by her son, David Eugene Perks; granddaughter, Megan Faith Perks; brother, Kenneth Mitchell; sister, Brenda Kay Mitchell, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Perks. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all their comfort and care during this time. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2-8PM. and on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 9-11. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Bartlett Funeral Home with Rev Becky Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at the Sayers Cemetery, Pleasant Creek.
