Ruth Elieen Exline

Ruth Eileen Exline, 68, of Thornton, passed away Saturday, June10, 2017 at Grafton City Hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born February 4, 1949 in Paw Paw, WV, a daughter of the late Fred Lee and Pauline Ester Curtis Smallwood. Ruth is survived by her husband Charles Richard Exline, Jr., they were united in marriage May 23, 1969.
Graduated from Boonsboro High School, Boonsboro, MD. was a clerk, at Dairy Mart, 7-Eleven, Family Dollar, and Tygart Lake Lodge. She enjoyed sewing and crafts, was an artist and painted with oils, love being with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Charles "Chuck" Richard Exline lll, and wife Lisa, Paula LaRaine Poling both of Thornton, Brandy LaRue Cline, and husband Brian Grafton, six grandchildren, Ashley Marie Poling, Cameron Issac Poling, Charles "Chase" Richard Exline IV, Caden Ray Exline, Isabella "Bella" Opal Exline, Eli Jude McLean, one brother, David Lee Smallwood, Martinsburg, two sisters, Naomi Speaks, Charlene "Susie" Smallwood, both of Hagerstown, MD, two very close friends, Mary Ellen Sever, Shirley Freeze, both of Grafton.
In addition to her father and mother she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Smallwood, Patsy Zimmerman.
