Robert Douglas "Rob" Devart

March 25, 1942 ~ March 14, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old
Robert Douglas Devart, 74, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday,
March 14, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born March 25, 1942 in Wendel,
WV, the son of Nita Pearl Jones and Andy Devart. On October 19, 1968 he married
the love of his life Frankie Virginia Whitescarver Devart who survives him.
He attended Flemington High School and worked at Southern States
Warehouse in Clarksburg, WV. He was employed as a forklift operator by the
Union Carbide in Anmoore, WV from 1974 until his retirement in 1999. He
continued to work post-retirement at Grafton Homes, Sam's Club in Clarksburg
and at the Grafton Walmart. He belonged to Grafton Lodge #15 A.F. & A.M.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his children, V. Diann Devart and Douglas Devart both of Grafton; his beloved granddaughters Jacinda Hope Bizunesh Devart and Leah Faith Devart; his sisters Barbara Godwin of Burnsville, WV, Polly and Larry Garzony of Bowling Green, OH, Patricia Boyles of Flemington, WV, Mary Jo Stewart of Magadore, OH, Sherry and Peter Alfred of Naples, FL and his brothers Andy L. Devart of Rosemont and Gary and Debbie Devart of Grantsville, WV. He is also survived by his extended family Lou Prunty, Elaine Brown, Bill and Cheryl Whitescarver, Pat Whitescarver, Garry and Lynne Whitescarver and many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Charles Devart, his sisters Mildred Yocco and Wilma Riffle and his half-sisters Wanda Reed and Susie Lowell. He is also preceded in death by extended family Patty Devart, Pete Boyles, Karl Stewart, Dave Riffle, John Godwin, Donald Brown, Mortimer Prunty and Dick Whitescarver. He was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church and attended Flemington Baptist Church where he enjoyed worshiping with his Church family. He spent many years coaching the Athletics for the Taylor County Little League. He enjoyed hunting
and woodworking, but especially loved spending time tending his garden. He was
a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by family and friends. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00PM and on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9-11 AM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Garzony and Pastor Garry Whitescarver officiating.
