Matilda Beatrice "Betty" Carder, 84 of Grafton passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Grafton City Hospital with her family by her side. She was born October 20, 1932 at Lambertville, NJ, daughter of the late David Kerr and Annie Elizabeth Smith. She will join her husband John F. Carder, Sr. who preceded her death February 8, 2003.
She attended the Salvation Army, loved to walk, go to yard sales, and helped raise money for the Grafton City Police K-9 Unit and volunteer at the Mission on Latrobe St. and enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by six children, Barbara Jean Lyons and husband Donald, Grafton, Mary Ann Hulsey and husband Mike, Grafton, John F. Carder, Jr and wife Tammy Morgantown, Robert M. Carder and wife Cindy, GA, Rose M. Strickland and husband Avery, GA, Steven L. Carder, Sr. Grafton grandchildren Mark Ann, Jennifer, Kayla, Shebree, Khrystal, Bobby, James, David, Steven Jr, Angel, Amanda, Samantha, CJ, and AJ; and several great grandchildren; a special best friend, Lucille Poling; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter Tiffany McDaniel.
