Larry Jackson Shuttlesworth

Larry Jackson Shuttlesworth, 71, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Louis A. Johnson Medical Hospital, Clarksburg, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 1, 1944 in Grafton, a son of the late Jackson B. and Olive V. Ford Shuttlesworth. He is survived by his wife Mary Curry Shuttlesworth, whom he married November 5, 1966.
He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, and was retired from the Railroad as a trackman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, muzzleloaders, doing crossword puzzles, reading, and was an amateur archaeologist. Larry was a member of the Grafton VFW Post 3081.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Robin Sharp and husband Bob of Grafton, and Elly Darr of Ligonier, PA; seven grandchildren: Malinda Ferris and husband Kody, Scarlett Sharp, Kayla Darr, Julianna Darr, Christopher Muller and wife Emily, Nathan Muller, Alyssa Muller Garcia and husband Jorge; five great grandchildren: Jack Ferris, Kady Ferris, Bentley Foy, Bryley Foy, and Levin Muller; two brothers: Darrell Shuttlesworth and wife Lorna, and Terry Shuttlesworth, all of Morgantown; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judy and Glenda.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00PM, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the WV National Cemetery with Reverend David Maley and Pastor Don Harward officiating. Family requests we meet at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, WV at 12:30PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WV DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Guard of Camp Dawson.
