Lake R Jackson

Lake Raymond Jackson, 91 of Webster, passed away Wednesday September 24, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 3, 1923 in Pocahontas County, a son of the late Edna Mae Jackson. In addition to his Mother he was preceded in death by his daughter; Rose Mary "Boots" Harris and a grandson, Timothy Jackson.
Lake is survived by his loving wife of sixty three years, Maxine Bolner Jackson whom he married May 1951.
Lake was a coalminer, worked at Callisons Construction and retired from Sothern Steel in Clarksburg. He enjoyed watching the birds, being outdoors, sitting on the front porch and enjoying life with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Lake was a quiet man but was always ready to help everyone.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Randy L. Jackson and Bev Byrd, Morgantown, Nettie McVicker and husband David, Grafton, Trina Fincham and husband Larry, Philippi; six grandchildren, Heather and Joe Bolyard, Randy Harris and Heather Watkins, Amanda and Alan Carpenter, Justin McVicker and Kayla Davis, Lindsey and Brian Boone, Laura Jackson and Randall Thomas, six great grandchildren, Jackson Boone, Wyatt Boone, Kennedy McVicker, Randy Harris, Hannah Boyce and William Boyce; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 4-8PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor David Spence officiating. Interment will follow at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Webster.
