Joseph "Joe" Warden McVicker

Joseph "Joe" Warden McVicker, 61 of Grafton passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1955 in Grafton, son of Annabelle Haddix McVicker of Grafton and the late Joseph Warden McVicker, Sr. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Leanna D Dean McVicker; three children, Jeromy Mcvicker and Megan, Grafton, Amanda Kelly and Daniel, Centerville, VA, Danielle Boylen and Aaron, Grafton; eight grandchildren, Talerie, Jamen, Cayden, Caitlyn, Brayden, Penelope, Pierce, and Raelynn; two great grandchildren, Suri and Latosha; eight siblings, Rheau Trickett and Bill, Pam McDaniel and Buck, Grafton; Cassie Brown, Lila Hawkins; Tim McVicker and Robin, Sam McVicker all of Grafton, Joshlyn Gillispe and Steve, OH, Greg McVicker, NC; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Joe graduated from Grafton High School, Class of 1974. He was in the United States Navy. Joe retired from the Grafton Housing Authority as Project Manager. He enjoyed the grandkids, hunting, fishing and golf. Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Bartlett Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Gary Whitescarver officiating. Interment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WVA DAV Chapter 24, and their Auxiliaries, and the Navy National Honor Guard.
