Frederick "Freddie" Ford

On June 12, 2016 Frederick (Freddie) Ford 82 ½ departed this life from his home on Maple Avenue. Fred was survived by his wife Darlene, son Justin and wife Era of Grafton, son Chris and wife Stephanie of Gainesville GA, and two grandchildren Cameron and Abigail also of Grafton.
Fred Attended St. Augustine Catholic School, Fairmont State College, Active Duty and reserves member of the Armed services for 17 years, Member of the Taylor County Recreation and Boat Club, and the Elks Lodge.
Fred was employed as a Meat Cutter/Manager for Thorofare and A&P Food Stores, Food Service Supervisor at WVU, Food Service Director for Department of Corrections, and Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Grafton.
As a lifelong resident of Grafton he loved the Memorial Day services, traveling, spending time at the lake, playing poker on Friday evening, and spending time with his family and animals.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday, June14, 2016 from 3-8PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Bartlett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery, Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WVA DAV Chapter 24, and their Auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Honor Guard of Camp Dawson.
