Freda M Fast

Freda M. Fast, 105 of Grafton passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Rosewood Center. She was born January 19, 1910 in Spencer, WV, daughter of the late Millard F and Annabelle Wright Sutphin. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond G Fast on May 2, 1981. Freda was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Society. She transferred her membership to The Church of the Good Sheppard. She was also a member of the Naomi Chapter 12 Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed quilting. She is survived by two grandchildren, Brenda Ann Gerkin and husband Tim, and Rodney Brent Fast and wife Teresa; two great grandchildren, Holly DeAnn Ellis and husband James, Simpsonville, SC, and Adrienne Leigh Schoff and husband John, Atlanta, GA, one great great grandson, Caleb James Ellis, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Howard R Fast and daughter-in-law, Adrian Poling Fast, five brothers and four sisters. Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 2-7 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Bartlett Funeral Home with Pastor Bert Coffman and Pastor Adam Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at Bluemont Cemetery. Naomi Chapter #12 Order of the Eastern Star will conduct memorial services on Tuesday, at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
