Ernestine Lucille Marks

Ernestine Lucille Marks, 77 of Flemington passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She had resided with her daughter Margie, husband Dean and grandson Billy. She was born January 31, 1937, in Grafton, daughter of the late Ernest and Pansy Whitehair Dawson. Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Dale Marks Sr. on May 4, 2000. She is survived by three daughters, Merry Marks, Baltimore MD, Myra Marks Shifflett and husband Larry, Flemington, Margaret DeVor and husband Dean, Flemington; four granddaughters; five grandsons; two great granddaughters and five great grandsons; several nieces, nephews, friends, in West Virginia and Maryland. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dale Marks Jr. on August 26, 2011; one granddaughter; one grandson; four sisters; June Pemberton, Mary Carloss, Edith Keller, Betty Dawson. Ernestine raised her granddaughter as her own, Bobbie Jo Irizarry. She worked in textile factories in Maryland, later worked in PA and WV as a CNA and later did private in home care last working in Bridgeport. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, doing crafts, playing cards, crosswords and the bejeweled game on the computer. Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 10:00 AM until time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Terry Peters officiating.
