Ellen Jeanette Schaefer, age 55 of Grafton passed away Friday, September 11, 2015, at Transitions Healthcare, Washington, PA. She was born in Philippi on November 12, 1960, a daughter of the late Charles Robert and Madeline Elizabeth Sisler Knotts.
She graduated from Grafton High School and AB College in Nursing. She worked for over 25 years at Grafton City Hospital.
Ellen is survived by her husband William "Bill" Schaefer, whom she married April 21, 1990; sister, Rosemary Knotts and brother; Mark Leroy Knotts both of Grafton. And her very special dog Smokey Joe.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister; Brenda Darlene Knotts.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Tuesday, September15, 2015, from 4-8PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM. Wednesday September 16, 2015 At Bartlett Funeral Home with Lay Speaker Carl Bartlett officiating. Interment will follow at the #4 Tunnelton Cemetery, Preston County.
