Eleanor Jane Stolzenfels

Eleanor Jane Stolzenfels, 92, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, July16, 2015, at Home Away From Home Assisted Living Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 25, 1922 in Grafton, a daughter of the late Durbin and Francis Geissler Moore. Her husband Robert J. "Chub" Stolzenfels preceded her in death July 4, 1997.
Eleanor was a life member of the Trinity United Methodist Church on Dewey Ave. and she loved music and singing and was a Sunday School Teacher at the Trinity United Methodist Church for many years.
Eleanor graduated in 1940 in the first class of Grafton High School.
She is survived by three sons, Robert J. "Bob" Stolzenfels and wife Carla, Tom Stolzenfels, both of Grafton, and Mark Stolzenfels and wife Karlen , Bridgeport; seven grandchildren, Craig Stolzenfels and wife Carolyne, Andrea Stolzenfels, Jesse Stolzenfels and wife Amanda, Mark Stolzenfels, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Chris Skoloski, Heather Skoloski, and Hanna Stolzenfels, four great grandchildren, Ellie Stolzenfels, Reed Stolzenfels, Lilliam Soo Stolzenfels, and Easton Stolzenfels.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Durbin "Bud" Moore.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday July 21, 2015 at Bartlett Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Willis officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Eleanor Stolzenfels to the Taylor County Hospice, 7 Harman Center Grafton, WV. 26254. A very special thank you to the staff at Home Away From Home, and the Taylor County Hospice.
