Eldon Lee Findley

Eldon Lee Findley, 89 of Findley Road, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at his residence with his family . He was born on Buck Run, WV. April 11, 1 926, a son of the late Everett Eldon Findley, Sr. and J. Pearl Bartlett Findley. His wife Lois Jean Goodwin Findley, preceded him in death December 16, 2004.
Eldon worked for the B&O, Chessie System, and C&X Railroad for forty six years, While he maintained his 356 acre farm near Pleasant Creek. Eldon was a former member of the Union Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon, and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended the Beulah Baptist Church . He shared his love of God to all that he came in contact with by caring for and loving his fellow man and all of God's creatures.
He is survived by five children; Sharon Howdyshell and husband Don, Grafton, David Findley and wife Debbie, New Mexico, Susan Sinsel and husband Gary, Grafton, Jean Ann Pace and husband Larry, Texas, Brenda Cathell and husband Danny, Grafton, Ten grandchildren; Keith Sinsel, Christopher Sinsel, Stephanie Wolfe, Brandy Ramirez, Steve Howdyshell, Wesley Findley, Cory Gerard, Jonathan Pace, David Pace, Jessica Sinclair,
fourteen great-grandchildren; Cody Howdyshell, Tara Sinsel, Katelyn Sinsel, Malory Sinsel, Mariah Sinsel, Cameron Sinsel, Alyssa Sinsel, Felicity Bolyard, Alexis Sinsel, Eli Wolfe, Tiffany Findley, Gavin Findley, and Olivia Gerard, sister-in-law, Lorraine Goodwin Kittle, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son Daniel Eldon Findley, five sisters; Ruth Rankin, Ruby Bailey, Evelyn Swisher, Ella Kash, Iva Findley, four brothers; Benjamin Findley, Thomas Findley, Everett Findley, Jr. and Jesse Findley.
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 2-8PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00AM Bartlett Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Bolyard officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery.
