Darrel Niles Wilson

Darrel "The Genius" Niles Wilson, 94 of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Rosewood Nursing Home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Tunnelton, WV, March 25, 1921, a son of the late Charles W and Ella Isner Wilson.
Darrel was in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He retired from General Motors as a Machine Operator. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 12, and was a member of the NRA.
He is survived by three children, Patricia Lyons, Huntsville, AL, Harold E. Wilson, Grafton and Pamela McCain, Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren, Chris Jones and wife Margaret, Bryan Jones, David Jones, Sherri Sadowski, Sierra Woods, Mike Slimbarski and wife Maribel, Debbie Whisnant and husband Aaron, Allen Diaz and wife Sumac, Stephanie Ramos and husband Nelson, thirteen great-grandchildren, Aaron Garcia-Jones, Gavin Jones, Giovonni Schrimsheir, Patrick, Michael,Jr and Chase Slimbarski, Haden and Marcus Spaulding, Odin, Ala, Isadora Daiz, Jonah and Kailyn Ramos, one sister, Betty Jean Gough, Cumberland, MD., one brother Arnold Wilson and wife Lucille, Fremont, Ohio., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, three sisters, Juanita Ludwick, Wanda Ruth Beavers, and Wyona Stallings, two brothers, Hartsel Wilson and Harold Wilson
Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 2-7PM where funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00AM, with Rev. Dan Lowther officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WV DAV Chapter24 and their auxiliaries, and the United States Navy National Honor Guard.
