Clyde W Spring

Clyde William Spring, 79 of Grafton, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Grafton, August 12, 1936, a son of the late Robert Dale and Opal Mildred Miller Spring. His wife of 52 years, Carolyn Sapp Spring survives. They were united in marriage April 10, 1963.
Clyde was in the United States Army for 13 years. He worked for Grafton City Hospital, Thompson Coal Company, and retired from the Taylor County Board of Education. He was a member of the VFW Post #3081 Grafton.
Clyde greatest joy was when his grandchildren would come to visit. He loved music and most of all playing music with his friends. He enjoyed his cats.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Cindy Sue Spring; one son, Tim Spring and wife Shawna, both of Grafton; two grandchildren, Kimberly Murray and husband Chris, Isaac Allen Spring; two great grand children, Emily Grace Murray and Patrick Allen Murray all of Granville.
Clyde was preceded in death by one daughter, Mendy Lou McWilliams, two sisters; Zella Mae Sypolt, and Eleanor Foster; two brothers, Ralph C. McCartney, and Ronald Stewart Spring.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM, Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November10, 2015 at Bartlett Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery.
