Brady Lee Carroll

Brady Lee Carroll, 90 , of Grafton passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Grafton City Hospital with his wife by his side. He was born in Grafton, May 4, 1926, a son of the late Willie Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Jane Poe Carroll. His wife of 63 years, Icy Louise McCoy Carroll survives. They were united in marriage March 20, 1953.
Brady was a member of the Blueville Church of the Nazarene. He worked for 17 years on the grounds at the church to make them beautiful, and he collected over 3000 cans to pave the parking lot at the church. He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in San, Leandro, CA. He served his Country in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War. He loved fishing and collecting pigs.
In addition to his wife, Brady is survived by two sons, Ronald Lee Carroll and wife Betty and Charles Scott Carroll and wife Ginny, Hayward, CA; six grandchildren, Joy Carroll, Rebecca Carroll, Ronald Carroll, Randy Carroll, Heather Carroll and Frank Carroll; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Carroll, Rochester, NY; two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Carroll, Glenford, OH, and Ruth Carroll, Fairmont, WV; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death one son, David Allen Carroll; four brothers, Warren Carroll, Everett Carroll, William Carroll, and Edsel Carroll.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave, Grafton, on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2-7 PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Oakley officiating. Interment will follow at the WV National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American legion Taylor County Post #12, Central WV DAV 24, and their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Honor Guard of Camp Dawson.
